Work progress within eTwinning Plus project in Azerbaijan

As we know, since 2013, Azerbaijan participates in the international eTwinning Plus project. The project implementation phase in Azerbaijan started in summer. Three meetings were held to introduce eTwinning Plus project to the school principals and teachers. The project's new website and facebook page was launched in order to provide the updates and news on the implementation of eTwinning Plus in Azerbaijan. Madad Azerbaijan conducted rigorous interviews to select enthusiastic teachers for participation in the project. As of September, 37 teachers from 16 schools have been selected and registered for the projects. More teachers and schools are to join the project as the selection process carries on.

On September 3-5, Madad Azerbaijan provided training session for the first group of registered teachers on the efficient use of the eTwinning Plus portal, project-based learning and application of ICT tools in classroom. The training was organized in order to guide teachers in their work in the virtual classroom created by eTwinning portal for teachers and students. 21 teachers participated in the training and are now working on the portal joining projects interesting to them and to their students.

Following the training, the teachers will be regularly provided with the online support and educational counseling, in case they have any questions or problems. For that purpose, the helpdesk service has been created at Madad to provide support via telephone, email, skype talk, online webinars and face-to-face workshops.
