eTwinning Plus Expands in Azerbaijan

On October 24, the Ministry of Education and Madad Azerbaijan held the press conference dedicated to the results of the eTwinning Plus project implementation in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event that took place at the Ministry's Bureau on ICT for Education and gathered media and educators from twenty participant schools.

eTwinning Plus is an extension of eTwinning program, which provides an online platform for educational staff to communicate, collaborate, develop projects and be part of the most exciting learning community in Europe. 6 countries, including Azerbaijan, has become part of eTwininng Plus project according to EU's neighborhood policy. School teachers from these countries will have an opportunity to work together with their counterpart teachers from 33 European countries through joint educational projects using the portal of the project (plus.etwining.com. In Azerbaijan, the project is implemented by Madad Azerbaijan, a Partner Support Agency (PSA), in close partnership with the Ministry of Education.

During the event, the participants learned about eTwinning Plus project benefits and impact on the students and schools. The detailed presentation by Madad Azerbaijan described the initiative's implementation stages, achievements thus far and challenges. Following the presentation, the event opened the floor to the discussion between the teachers and PSA representatives. The teachers, who participated in the project's contact seminars in Poland and Lithuania, shared their perspectives and international experience in networking between the participating countries throughout Europe.

The event concluded with the questions and answers session facilitated by Madad Azerbaijan representatives and the award ceremony for the pioneer twenty schools that joined the eTwinning Plus project.
